Seven Indicted On Friday By Frederick County Grand Jury

These cases now move to Circuit Court where trial dates will be scheduled.

Frederick, Md. (KM) – The Frederick County Grand Jury on Friday returned seven indictments. They are:

  • Michael D, Harris, 40, of Frederick, Md, who is charged with 1st-degree assault; 2nd-degree assault; reckless endangerment and resisting and interfering with an arrest for an incident which occurred on May 28th, 2022.
  • James Lewis Eldridge, 55, if Frederick, Md. who is charged with two counts of 2nd-degree burglary; two counts of 4th-degree burglary (storehouse); two counts of 4th-degree burglary and theft; one count of 4th-degree burglary (burglary tools); one count of theft under $1500; two counts of malicious destruction of property; and one count theft under $100 for incidents which occurred on May 10th, 2022 and May 18th, 2022.
  • John Scott Earp, 41, of Frederick who is charged with possession with intent to distribute and possession of cocaine; possession with intent to distribute and possession of fentenyl; and possession with intent to distribute and possession of Adderal for an incident which occurred on June 5th, 2022.
  • Fatmata Keita, 27, of Frederick, Md, who is charged with 2nd-degree child abuse by a custodian; and 2nd-degree assault for an incident which occurred on April 1st, 2022.
  • Jose Rosa Romero, 43, of Frederick, Md. whose charged with two counts of sex abuse of a minor in a house by a family member for incidents which occurred between August 1st, 2011 and June 30th, 2012.
  • Carlos Enrique Gonzalez, 36, of Frederick, Md. who is charged with three counts of sex abuse of a minor for incidents which occurred between January 1st, 2015 to February 29th, 2022.
  • Daontae Kennen Diggs, 26, of Frederick, Md who is charged with 2nd-degree child abuse and 2nd-degree assault for an incident which occurred on February 14th, 2022.

The indictments move these cases to Circuit Court where trial dates will be scheduled.

The Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office says indictments are   charging documents, and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty.
