According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the magnitude 2.0 earthquake struck just outside of Sykesville at 11:49 pm on October 11, 2022.
The earthquake had a depth of 5 km.
This earthquake comes 12-years after a magnitude 3.6 earthquake happened near Germantown on July 16, 2010.
