The suspect assaulted an employee, took cash and fled
Frederick, MD (DG) – The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the suspect who robbed the Jefferson BP Sunday morning, and assaulted an employee.
Deputies responded to the BP gas station on Lander Road at around 4:45 AM after receiving a call about an armed robbery.
After they arrived, the victim told deputies that a black male, 40 to 45 years old, 5’7, with a muscular build, had jumped over the counter and demanded cash from the register. The suspect struck the victim in the head, possibly with needle nose pliers.
The suspect took approximately $200 from the register and the victims iPhone before fleeing on foot towards Route 340. The victim was treated by EMS personnel on scene.
The investigation into this robbery is continuing.
