Victim shot on 270 near Urbana
Frederick, Md. (DG) – A woman was shot during a road rage incident on Interstate 270 Sunday night in Frederick County.
The victim told Maryland State Police that she was driving on 270 northbound near Urbana around 7:45 PM, when a vehicle pulled in behind her, flashing their high beams.
The victim changed lanes, and the suspect’s vehicle pulled beside her car. The driver displayed a gun and fired several shots into her car. The woman was struck in the leg.
The suspect continued driving northbound on 270 towards Frederick.
The victim was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore for treatment of her injuries.
Troopers found evidence that several gunshots were fired on I-270. The investigation into the shooting continues.
