House Damaged By Fire In Allegany County

The cause remains under investigation.

McCoole, Md (KM) There were no injuries from a house fire in Allegany County Sunday night.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says shortly before 10:00 PM, fire fighters were dispatched to 24700 Spring Briar Lane in McCoole  for a single story home on fire. They spent 30-minutes bringing the flames under control

Damage is estimated at $55,000 to the structure, and $20,000 to the contents. .

The Fire Marshal’s Office says the fire originated in the bedroom area, but the cause remains under investigation.

The residents were not home at the time of the fire, and are being assisted by family.
