Thousands of Frederick County Residents Without Power

Potomac Edison says power should be restored to Middletown Valley Saturday afternoon

Frederick, Md. (DG) – The powerful winds from the attic blast that is affecting much of the country has knocked out power to many local residents, especially in the Middletown Valley.

Potomac Edison estimates that power should be restored within the next 2 hours.

The Brunswick Fire Hall and Faith Baptist Church in Knoxville are both locations where residents in the Middletown area can go for shelter.

Northern Frederick County residents can go to the Emmitsburg Fire Department.

Officials are reminding everyone to check on their elderly loved ones and neighbors who may be with out power. Also check on any outside pets and livestock.
