Two Homicide Suspects Indicted By The Frederick County Grand Jury

Ruben Williams                                                                                   Erin Davis(Photos from the Frederick Police Department)Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick County Grand Jury on Friday returned five indictments, including two for a homicide late last year.Ruben Terod Williams, 38, and Erin Elizabeth Davis, 37, are charged as co-defendants with 1st-degree murder, and 2nd-degree murder, armed robbery, robbery, 1st-degree assault and theft between $100 and $1500. .The two defendants are from Union Bridge. They were arrested for the stabbing death of 41 year old Mary Alice Seward, 41.Frederick Police say at around 4:47 AM on Saturday, December 31st, 2022. officers were called to Frederick Health Hospital for a woman  who had been stabbed in her upper body. Despite life saving efforts by hospital staff, Seward was pronounced dead.Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit assigned to the case conducted an investigation, and were able to identify Williams and Davis as suspect. They were arrested on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2023.Investigators also determined that the murder took place in the 200 block of LInden Avenue in Frederick.Other indictments returned by the Grand Jury include:*Ayi Jodzro Ayay, 50, Walkersville, Md, who is charged with 1st-degree arson, 1st-degree assault and 2nd-degree assault for an offense which occurred on December 24th, 2022*Robert Brian Combs, 54, of Frederick, Md., who is charged with 1st-degree assault and 2nd-degree assault for an offense which occurred on January 1st, 2023.*Gervon William Norris, 29, of Capital Heights, Md, who is charged with possession of a firearm with a felony conviction: two counts of illegal possession of a regulated firearm: illegal possession of ammunition; having a loaded handgun on his person; having a handgun on his person; possessing a false government identification; disorderly conduct; and failure to obey a reasonable and lawful order of a police officer for an offense which occurred on December 9th, 2022.The indictments move these cases to the Circuit Court where trial dates will be scheduled.The State’s Attorney’s; Office says an indictment is a charging document alleging criminal conduct, and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty.
