Cambria County, Pa. (KM) A Frederick man who plays football for Saint Francis University in Pennsylvania is charged with raping a woman last year. Authorities say Marcel Mami, 20, is charged with rape, conspiracy to commit rape and unlawful restraint. Also charged in this sexual assault is fellow football player Duante White, 20, who is from New Jersey.
Both men are linebackers for Saint Francis University which is west of Altoona. They are being held at the Cambria County Prison.
Police say the rape occurred in the basement of a home in Loretto, Pennsylvania during a party on February 22nd, 2022. . The victim told police she was intoxicated at that time, and,according to a criminal affidavit, she was led down to the basement by Mami where she was raped. The woman told police that White entered the basement and two men raped her.
Mami lives in Frederick and played football for Damascus High School.
