Thurmont, Md (KM) There’s good news for motorists in northern Frederick County. The Department of Highway Operations says Roddy Road south of the historic covered bridge has reopened.
The road was closed after a height-warning portal was damaged by a vehicle on Wednesday evening. . Crews from Highway Operations completed repairs on Friday afternoon.
The portal was installed to alert drivers that their vehicles will not fit within the covered bridge.
The covered bridge itself was not damaged.
