Frederick MD, (MO) A fire destroyed a home in Frederick County on Saturday leaving two people and their small dog displaced.

Firefighters responded to the 2600 block of Monocacy Ford Road at around 6:30 PM. They found heavy flames coming from the roof of the home.

In all, 75 firefighters battled the blaze for more than an hour as the fire continued to spread to an adjacent house.

The fire was put out a little past 8 PM. One adult was taken to the hospital for non life threatening injuries. The Fire Marshal’s Office is still investigating the cause of the fire.
