Fire officials say a lithium battery could be involved in this blaze.

Frederick, Md (KM) Fire fighters battled a house fire northwest of Frederick Thursday afternoon.
According to the Frederick Scanner Facebook page, personnel were sent to 6011 Keyser Lane just off of Bethel Road at 6:02 PM. When they arrived, they saw smoke and flames coming from a bedroom window. They also heard a lithium battery may be involved with this fire.
The fire went to a second alarm as the Rapid Intervention Dispatch brought more fire fighters to the scene. Personnel had the flames under control by just over five minutes. They checked for extensions to the attic.
One occupant of the home was medivaced to an area hospital for smoke inhalation. Three other residents were evaluated, but not transported to hospitals.
A dog and cat made it out safely.
Most units began clearing the scene by 7:00 PM.
The Frederick County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
