Frederick, Md (KM) A Frederick man is facing weapons charges following his arrest last weekend. Jerrell Isiah Smith, 27, was taken into custody on Sunday afternoon in the 100 block of North Market Street.
Police say at around 2:05 PM, they received complaints about a man brandishing a gun and making threats in the area of South Market Street and Carroll Creek. Officers located Smith in the 100 block of North Market Street, and conducted a frisk. They found a loaded handgun on his person.
Smith is charged with possessing a handgun with a felony conviction; wearing and carrying a handgun on his person; possessing ammunition being prohibited from possessing a regulated firearm; and disorderly conduct.
He was taken to the Adult Detention Center for processing.
