Frederick County Grand Jury Returns 11 Indictments

Four of the indictments included several counts of child pornography charges.

Frederick, Md. (BW)- The Frederick County Grand Jury returned 11 indictments on Friday, June 2.

  • Logan Jay Voegtly, 36, of Thurmont is charged with five counts of distribution and six counts of possession of child pornography between July 9 and July 20, 2022.
  • Carlos Javier Guzman-Cruz, 34, of New Market is charged with three counts of distribution and 10 counts of possession of child pornography between August 17, 2022 and April 25, 2023.
  • Ronald Eugene Laman, 57, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania is charged with attempted solicitation of child pornography and three counts of sexual solicitation of a minor between April 24 and May 2, 2023.
  • Michael John Brown, 51, of Frederick is charged with five counts of distribution and 10 counts of possession of child pornography.
  • Ruben Alonso Hernandez-Lainez, 27, of Frederick is charged with second-degree rape and second-degree assault which occurred on Feb 27, 2023.
  • Mack Williams, 39, of Frederick is charged with second-degree child abuse, first degree assault, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and resisting arrest all which happened on May 9, 2023.
  • Rontez Norwood Swann, 33, of Frederick is charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment for an incident that occurred on May 10, 2023.
  • Eric David Rose, 46, of Frederick is charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment for an incident that occurred on May 4, 2023.
  • Daniel Martin Montano, 31, of Frederick is charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault and a violation against release conditions for a crime of violence which occurred on May 17, 2023.
  • John W. Mullican, 25, of Frederick is charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment which happened on May 19, 2023.
  • Dewayne A. Green, 40, of Hagerstown is charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault and 11 counts of violating protective order for events that occurred on May 13, 17, 20, and 21, 2023.

These cases will be heard by the Circuit Court.
