Frederick, Md (KM ) A collision between a car and a motorcycle in Frederick County Sunday afternoon left one person dead.
The Sheriff’s Office says at atround 3:50 PM, , deputies responded to the area of Park Mills Road and Monocacy Bottom Road for the crash. The motorcyclist identified as Glenn Rice, Jr, 39. of Poolesville, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say their investigation determined that Rice’s motorcycle had crossed the double yellow line, and collided head on with a Daimler passenger car. The occupants of the car received treatment at a local hospital for minor injuries.
The Sheriff’s Office says speed and failure to drive right of center were contributing factors in this crash.
