One defendant is charged 1st-degree murder.
Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick County Grand Jury returned 11 indictments on Friday. One was against Santos Felipe Reyes-Valle, 38, of Frederick who is charged with 1st-degree and 2nd-degree murder.
Reyes-Valle was arrested in June for the stabbing death of Jose Pedro Hernandez, 40, also of Frederick.
On May 17th at round 9:45 PM, police were dispatched to the parking lot of the Home Depot on South McCain Drive. They found Hernandez with stab wounds. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Other indictments returned by the Grand Jury include:
*Irvin Eugene Bright, 66, of Frederick, who is charged with distribution and possession of cocaine, and possession of paraphernalia for an incident which occurred on June 15th, 2023.
*Dustin Douglas Delauter, 33, of Myersville, who is charged with possession with intent to distribute and possession of methamphetamine, two counts of use of a firearm in drug trafficking; and violations connected with a machine for an incident on June 13th, 2023.
*Collin Charles Hand, 37, of Thurmont, Md, who is charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, and possession of cocaine for an incident which occurred on November 30th, 2023.
*Richard Morgan Mahone, Jr., 43, of Gaithersburg, Md. who is charged with 1st-degree assault and 2nd-degree assault for an incident which occurred on June 18th, 2023.
*Anthony Eugene Sweeney, 48, of Thurmont, Md., who is charged with 1st-degree assault, 2nd-degree assault and reckless endangerment for an incident which occurred on June 14th, 2023.
*Elida Lawison Rweyemamu, 30, of Frederick, Md, who is charged with 2nd-degree child abuse by a custodian, and 2nd-degree assault for an incident which occurred on May 22nd, 2023.
*Jonathan Zachary Sedler, 21, of Frederick, Md, who is charged with two counts of sex abuse of a minor, two counts of 3rd-degree sex offense and one count of animal cruelty for incidents which occurred between September 25th, 2019 and July 13th, 2023.
*Jan Anthony Sleets, 48, of Hagerstown, Md. who is charged with sex abuse of a minor; two counts of 2nd-degree rape; 3rd-degree sex offense; 4th-degree sex offense involving contact for an incident which occurred on January 1st, 2016.
*Robert Ottinger Bottenfiield, 36, of Frederick, who is charged with armed robbery, 2nd-degree assault, and theft less than $100 for an incident which occurred on June 23rd, 2023.
The Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office says indictments are charging documents alleging criminal conduct, and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty.
