One Dead, Two Hurt in One Car Crash In Montgomery County

Detectives Seek Public Help


North Bethesda, MD (LR) — An early morning car crash left a 22-year-old Fairfax County man dead and two other persons hurt over the weekend.

Montgomery County Police say that a black 2012 Honda Civic hatchback was eastbound on Veirs Mill Road near Twinbrook Parkway in North Bethesda Saturday morning around 5:50 when it left the road and hit a guardrail. The driver, identifed as Carlos Alexis Yanez Marquez of Annandale, Virginia was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Two passengers in the car were taken to area hospitals with what police say were non-life-threatening injuries.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit detectives are looking for information from the public as the investigation continues. Police say the Honda Civic hatchback went off the road for what a news release describes as “reasons unknown”.
