Fire In Adamstown Causes A Lot Of Smoke

Adamstown, Md (KM) No one was reported injured, but a fire at an outbuilding on Friday afternoon in Adamstown generated a lot of smoke.

At around 3:00 PM, fire and rescue crews were dispatched to Doubs Road at Ballenger Creek Pike for outside investigation of smoke. The Frederick Scanner reports fire fighters arriving at to the scene saw a huge column of smoke. An additional tanker truck was requested.

It was a large outbuilding containing power equipment which was fully involved. It took fire fighters about 15-minutes to bring the flames under control. Personnel spent time afterward putting out hot spots and doing overhaul.

The Fire Marshal was called to the scene.

The fire was extinguished just before 4:00 PM Units cleared by 4:45 PM.
