Part of Rock Creek Drive will be closed for one week.
Frederick, Md. (From the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration)- “The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin a project to repair a drainage pipe on US 40 (West Patrick Street) and Rock Creek Drive in Frederick County on Wednesday, August 16. The work is expected to be complete by next week, weather permitting.
Rock Creek Drive will be closed at West Patrick Street for approximately one week and drivers will be detoured from US 40 to Bowers Road and back to Rock Creek Drive. The State Highway Administration’s contractor, Allied Contractors, Inc., of Baltimore, will use arrow boards, signs, and barrels to guide motorists around the work zone.
The State Highway Administration understands lane closures associated with road construction may be an inconvenience, but the work is necessary to maintain a world-class transportation system. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay close attention while driving through the work zone.
