Frederick County Grand Jury Indicts Four

These cases will be forwarded to Circuit Court for trial.

Frederick, Md (KM) Four indictments were returned on Friday by the Frederick County Grand Jury.

The panel charged two Frederick men, James Robert Jackson, 37, and George Joseph Gutman, Jr., 41, with child pornography offenses. Jackson is charged with three counts of promoting and distributing child pornography, and nine counts of possession of child pornography for an offense which occurred on May 28th, 2023.

Gutman is charged with eight counts of promotion and distribution of child pornography, and eight counts of possession of child pornography for an offense which occurred on July 25th, 2023.

Two suspects were indicted as co-defendants. Robert Lee Brown, 28, of Oxon Hill, and Randell Jamal Wright, 35, of Washington DC, are both charged with 2nd-degree burglary (general); conspiracy to commit 2nd-degree burglary (general); 4th degree burglary (theft); 4th degree burglary (store); conspiracy to commit 4th degree burglary (store); 4th degree burglary (tools); conspiracy to commit 4th degree burglary (tools); theft between $25,000 to $100,000; malicious destruction of property less than $1,000; and conspiracy to commit malicious destruction of property less than $1,000 for an offense which occurred on August 30, 2023.

These cases now move to the Circuit Court where trial dates will be scheduled.

The Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office says indictments are charging documents alleging criminal conduct, and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty.
