MDOT SHA To Begin Improvements To Md. 28 In Frederick County On Monday

Frederick,l Md (KM) The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration says crews are expected to begin work next week on a three-mile stretch of Maryland Route 28.

Officials say  starting on Monday morning, October 30th, the contractor, F.O. Day of Rockville, will be repairing depressions along Maryland 28 between Buckeystown Pike and Doctor Belt Road which is near the Montgomery County Line.

The work will take place Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM. .

One lane will be closed during the work. But a flagging crew will be on hand to keep both directions of travel moving.   F.O. Day will also use electronic signs, barrels and cones to alert  motorists and guide them through the work zone.

The  project is expected to be completed by mid-December, weather permitting, MDOT SHA says.
