Frederick Man Charged In Drug Trafficking Operation

He was arrested on Tuesday.

Frederick, Md (K M) Frederick Police have arrested a local man in connection with a drug trafficking operation.

Members of the Special Response Team and Tactical Investigations Unit on Tuesday served a search and seizure warrant on the apartment of Keith Lamar Wright, 41.  Officers say they found quantities of suspected cocaine, suspected heroin, digital scales, a handgun with ammunition, and cash..

Authorities say their investigation determined that Wright was involved in a drug trafficking and distribution operation in Frederick County which involved crack cocaine, heroin and fentanyl.

Wright is charged with:

CR 1-1119, Possession with intent to distribute Cocaine.

CR 1-1111, Possession of Cocaine.

CR 1-0484, Possession with intent to distribute Cocaine within 1000 feet of a school zone.

CR 1-1609, Possession of a regulated firearm after been convicted of a crime of violence.

CR 1-1106, Possession of a regulated firearm after being convicted of a disqualifying crime.

CR 1-5299, Did use a firearm in commission of a felony.

CR 1-0493, Firearm/ Drug Trafficking Crime

CR 1-1285, Did possess ammunition, being prohibited from possessing a regulated firearm.

He’s being held without bond.

This was a joint operation between the Frederick Police and the State’s Attorney’s Office.
