Rockville, Md (KM) Maryland State Police have charged a Montgomery County man following a vehicle crash, and an assault last month. Jeremy Orellana, 21, of Gaithersburg has been taken into custody. He’s being held without bond.
On October 26th, 2023 at 6:00 PM, troopers from the Rocekville Barrack responded to a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 270 south of Shady Grove Road. A woman in a Mazda CX-3 was rear ended by a Ford transit van. When she pulled over to the side of the road to exchange information, she was assaulted. Along with that, the driver of the van stole money and other property from the victim.
She was taken to Adventist Health Care’s Germantown Emergency Center for treatment.
The case remains under investigation.
