Suspect Arrested In Shots-Fired Incident In Frederick Over The Weekend

Police say they found a loaded handgun in his vehicle.

Frederick, Md (KM) A Frederick man has been charged with numerous firearms offenses. Rasheed Raequan Stansbury, 27, was taken into custody on Saturday morning following a shots-fired incident.

Police say they were dispatched to the 500 block of Prospect Boulevard at around 6:36 AM for the discharge of a gun. Officers say there was evidence at the scene  of a firearm  discharge, but no evidence that anyone was hit, or vehicles and other property were damaged by gun fire.

A witness provided police with a description of the suspect identified as Stansbury. He was located and detained by officers.

A search of Stansbury’s vehicle revealed a loaded nine-millimeter handgun, according to authorities.   He was taken to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center where he was ordered held without bond.  .

Police credit Officers Constantine, Smith and Bonneville for their work on this investigation which  led to charges against a suspect.
