Pedestrian Struck And Killed On Interstate 270 In Montgomery County

The victim was pulled over on the shoulder.

Rockville, Md. (BW)- A Virginia man was killed after he was hit by a car on Interstate 270 on Monday, Jan 1.

According to a preliminary investigation by Maryland State Police, the victim was pulled over on the shoulder of Northbound Interstate 270 prior to Old Georgetown Road just before 5 a.m. He was attempting to put gas in his vehicle, when he was struck by a Nissan.

The vicitm is identified as 36-year-old Ceasar Adigwe Jr. of Spotsylvania, Va. He was transported by ambulance to Suburban Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

The driver of the Nissan is identified as 22-year-old Aaliyah Brown of Clarksburg. She remained on the scene following the crash.

Troopers from the Maryland State Police Rockville Barrack responded to the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
