Frederick Police Arrest Suspect In Firearms Discharge

Authorities say this individual has an outstanding warrant from the Sheriff’s Office.

Frederick, Md (IKM) A Frederick man wanted on an outstanding warrant from the Sheriff’s Office was taken into custody Tuesday night. Lorenzo Alexander Williams, 27, is charged by Frederick Police with reckless endangerment, discharging a firearm within city limits and illegal possession of a firearm.

Officers conducting a patrol check in the 400 block of Waverly Drive just before 11:00 PM heard gunshots in the area of Harlan Way. A search of the area was conducted, and evidence was located of a firearms discharge, and Williams was identified as a suspect.

They went to his home on Harlan Way. Authorities say at first Williams refused to cooperate, but eventually came outside, and surrendered to police. He was taken to the Adult Detention Center.

Two other individuals were transported to Frederick Police Headquarters for questioning.

A search warrant was served on Williams’ home where police located a handgun.
