One is against a Frederick man for drug offenses.
Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick County Grand Jury on Friday returned eight indictments, including one against a Frederick man police describe as actively involved in illegal trafficking and distribution of drugs in Frederick County. Keith Lamar Wright, 41, is charged by the Grand Jury with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession of cocaine.
Frederick Police say they worked with the State’s Attorney’s Office last year to secure a search and seizure warrant for Wright’s apartment.
On November 21st, 2023,. officers with the Special Response Team and Tactical Investigations Unit served a search warrant on Wright’s home, where they found quantities of suspected cocaine and suspected heroin, a .380-millimeter handgun, ammunition, a digital scale and some cash.
Frederick Police say Wright was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine; possession of cocaine; possession with intent to distribute cocaine within 1000 feet of a school zone; possession of a regulated firearm after being convicted of a crime of violence; possession of a regulated firearm after being convicted of a disqualifying crime; use of a firearm in the commission of a felony’; use of a firearm in a drug trafficking crime; and possession of ammunition while being prohibited from possessing an regulated firearm.
Wright was taken into custody. He remains behind bars on a no-bond status.
The other indictments include:
*Martin G. Munyorg, 43, of Frederick, Md., who is charged with 1st-degree assault, 2nd-degree assault and reckless endangerment for an incident which occurred on December 10th, 2023.
*Eric Daniel Schmidt, 31, of Frederick, Md., who is charged with 1st-degree assault; two counts of 2nd-degree assault; and one count reckless endangerment for an incident which occurred on December 9th, 2023.
*Trista Lynn Courtney, 34, of Cacapon, WV., who is charged with possession with intent to distribute and possession of a large amount of fentanyl, and possession of cocaine for an incident which occurred on December 16th, 2022.
*Catalino Garcia, 35, of Frederick, Md, who is charged with 1st-degree assault; 2nd-degree assault; reckless endangerment; and 2nd-degree child abuse. for an incident which occurred on December 16th, 2023
*Jasmine Marie James, 29, of Frederick, Md., who is charged with 2nd-degree child abuse and 2nd-degree assault for an incident which occurred on December 5th, 2023.
* Whitney Latasha Lambert, 32, of Frederick, Md., who is charged with 2nd-degree child abuse; 2nd-degree assault; and disorderly conduct for incidents which occurred on December 4th and 7th, 2023.
* Ofilio Jason Quezada, 26,of Germantown, Md., who is charged with 3rd-degree sex offense for an incident which occurred on July 3rd, 2023.
These indictments move these cases to the Circuit Court where trial dates will be scheduled.
The Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office says indictments are charging documents which allege criminal conduct, and all defendants are innocent until provide guilty.
