Frederick, Md (KM) A Frederick man charged in a homicide almost two years ago turned himself into police on Wednesday of this week. Jeffrey Whitney Bryan.32, is charged with 1st-degree murder, 2nd -degree murder, use of a firearm in a violent crime, and possession of a firearm with a felony conviction. .
On July 1st, 2022, police say they responded to the 100 block of West All Saints Street for a shooting. Officers arriving at the scene found Tayquan Palmer suffering from a gunshot wound. They provided medical care until medics arrived and took over. But Palmer was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives say they developed Bryan as a suspect, and he was indicted on December 15th on charges related to Palmer’s death. Investigators say they contacted Bryan who agreed to turn himself in.
He’s being held at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center without bond.
