Seven Year Sentence Given To Frederick Man For 2nd-Degree Rape

Frederick, Md (KM) A Frederick  man is going to prison for the 2nd-degree rape of a minor. . On Monday, Jonatan Daniel Corado-Moscoso, 31, was sentenced to 20 years incarceration with seven years to serve.    Administrative Judge Richard Sandy, who presided over the court proceedings, gave Corado-Moscovo credit for time served beginning on May 17th, 2022.

After he’s released from prison, Corado-Moscoso will be placed on five years of supervised probation. During that time, he must undergo drug and alcohol treatment, and receive a mental health and psycho-sexual evaluation. He also must comply  with polygraph testing, and internet and GPS monitoring. He must have no unsupervised contact with children under the age of 18, and also must have no contact with the victim and her family. .

Corado-Moscoso must register a Tier-Three sex offender for life.

The State’s Attorney’s Office says the victim was a 12-year-old girl who ran away from home in January, 2022. When she was located by Frederick Police, she said the defendant sexually abused her. A forensic investigation was conducted by Child Protective Services.

The arrest and convection of Corado-Moscoso was a joint effort by the Frederick Police Department, Child Protective Services and the State’s Attorney’s Office. Assistant State’s Attorney Erin Pearl represented the state in this case, according to a news release from the State’s Attorney’s Office.
