Holden Borten
Martinsburg, WV. (BW)- A Gaithersburg man was sentenced to 135 months in prison after attempting to meet a minor for sex in Berkley County, West Virginia.
In December 2022, 25-year-old Holden Borten travelled to a meeting site in West Virginia where he was expecting a sexual encounter with the minor. Upon arrivial, Borten was arrested by law enforcement.
Borten met the minor on social media, where he initaited sexual conversations with someone he believed to be under 12 years of age.
He was sentenced on Monday, Feb 12 in U.S. District Court. Following Borten’s release from prison, he will be under supervised probation for life.
