Police are investigating.
Silver Spring, Md (KM) The Investigation continues into a fatal pedestrian collision in Silver Spring Monday night.
Montgomery County Police say just after 8:00 PM, officers and fire and rescue personnel responded to the 9500 block of Georgia Avenue near Flora Lane for the collision. They say the driver of a gray Honda CR-V was traveling northbound on Georgia Avenue when the vehicle struck a man. The victim was pronouned dead at the scene. The driver remained at the scene.;
There were some reports that a second vehicle may have struck the pedestrian, but that was proven to be unfounded.
The victim’s name will be released after proper notifications have been made, authorities say. .
