(From the City of Frederick) – “Several residents and businesses may experience water service interruptions due to urgent repairs stemming from a major water main break Thursday morning. The main break and affected infrastructure is in the area of 7th Street, Bentz Street, and Motter Avenue. This infrastructure emergency is expected to cause significant disruptions to water service for several nearby buildings and major road closures throughout most of the day.

DPW crews are on the scene conducting repairs to restore services as swiftly and safely as possible. The Frederick Police Department is providing assistance with road closures and traffic management. Residents and commuters are strongly encouraged to seek alternative routes and avoid the affected area to the greatest extent possible.
