Suspect Apprehended In Frederick County Homicide

He was taken into custody in Baltimore.

Frederick, Md (KM) A suspect has been arrested in connection with a homicide in Frederick County earlier this year. The Sheriff’s Office says Keon Wilson-Hawkins, 20, was taken into custody early Monday morning in Baltimore. He is charged with the murder of Brice Wendell Boots, 65, of Pikesville. .

At around 1:30 in the afternoon on January 10th, 2024,  deputies responded to the 8200 block of Crum Road in Walkersville for a suspicious vehicle in a field with its flashers  on. It had been there since 7:00 AM that  morning.

An investigation was begun after Boots was found inside the vehicle. The area of Crum Road at Liberty Road to Stauffer Road was closed off while detectives conducted an investigation.

Boots’ death has been  ruled a homicide.

The Sheriff’s Office says Wilson-Hawkins was apprehended Monday morning with assistance from the US Marshals Service Capital Area Region Task Force.
