Hit And Run In Montgomery County Leaves One Pedestrian Dead

Two vehicles and one pedestrian were involved in the incident.

Gaithersburg, Md. (BW)- Montgomery County Police are investigating a fatal hit and run involving two vehicles and one pedestrian Friday, April 5.

At approximately 10:12 p.m. a 2023 white Honda Odyssey was travelling westbound on Randolph Road near Kimblewick Drive when it went off the roadway and hit a pedestrian.

The collision caused the pedestrian to fall into the roadway where he was hit by a white four-door Acura.

The pedestrian, identified as 52-year-old Ronaldo Franzese of Silver Spring was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Acura fled the scene without stopping.

Police are searching for the driver of the Acura. They report the vehicle may be a white 2009-2012 Acura TL, missing a fender line. The car may also have damage on the front end.

The investigation is ongoing.
