Unionville, Md (JK) A two alarm fire broke out Sunday evening at Frey Agricultural Products Farm and Garden Center in Unionville..
According to the Frederick Scanner, Frederick County Fire Crews were dispatched at 5:10 PM to a fire at the company’s barn and office facility in the 8500 block of Woodville Road between Unionville Road and Emerson Burrier Road. Firefighters reported a large amount of mulch on fire and asked a for tanker task force. The fire went to a second alarm.
Fire officials report they were ‘hindered’ by an onslaught of onlookers causing traffic problems affecting in the ability of fire apparatus getting to the scene. The blaze caused Woodville Road to be closed between the Frey Agriculture facility and Unionville Road.
The fire was under control by 10:00 PM.
