Two Vehicles, House In Carroll County Damaged By Fire

Eldersburg, Md (KM)  A vehicle fire  and house fire in Carroll County on Sunday afternoon are  being labeled accidental.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says just before 1:00 PM, fire fighters were dispatched to  1601 Heather Heights in Eldersburg for a vehicle fire that spread to a home. The owner of a Toyota Highlander was charging up a second vehicle when the fire started. It spread to the home and the second vehicle  About 65 fire fighters spent one hour putting out the flames. No one was injured.

Damage is estimated at $450,000..

The Fire Marshal’s Office says a small fire damaged the natural gas meter, and it was brought  under control by fire fighters.   BGE personnel were on the scene to shut off the gas.
