Frederick, Md (KM) A Frederick man was arrested last week for a shots-fired incident two months ago. Carlos Humberto Moreno, 53, was served with a criminal summons on Wednesday, April 10th, charging him with malicious destruction of property of over $1,000, and discharging a firearm within city limits.

Police say on February 23rd, 2024, they responded to a business in the 200 block of North Market Street after an employee noticed bullet holes in the rear of the establishment. Officers also found the company’s air conditioning system and fence also had bullet holes.

Authorities say they were able to identity Moreno as the suspect after reviewing multiple surveillance systems in the area. Video from those systems showed on February 15th a man taking a handgun from a car parked in the rear of the business, and shooting multiple rounds toward the fence and air conditioning unit.
