Frederick County Public Schools Launches On Line Survey

Officials want public input on potential budget cuts.

Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick County Public School System is conducting an on line survey of potential cuts in order to balance its budget for fiscal year 2025.

The News Post reports the Board of Education needs to address a $49-million deficit in order to pass a balanced budget.

During a meeting on May 1st, Board members discussed various methods to achieve a balanced budget, including class sizes, arts and music programs, transportation and extracurricular activities. The School Board is expected to continue its discussion on May 15th and June 12th.

The Board of Ed is scheduled to approve a budget on June 26th.

The on line survey will remain open until 11:59 PM  on May 13th.  It  can be found at bit.ly/3QvWE7j.
