Thursday, May 9th: Last Day For Early Voting In Maryland

Primary Election day is Tuesday, May 14th.

Annapolis, Md (KM) The Maryland State Board of Elections says Thursday, May 9th is the final day for early voting before the Primary. The polls will be open that day from 7:00 AM until 8:00 PM.

“Early voting offers a convenient voting method for many Marylanders to cast their ballots and ensure their voices are heard,” says State Administrator Jared DeMarinis, in a statement. “To date, we have seen more than 100,000 in-person early votes cast statewide and expect [Thursday’s} turnout to be robust.”

The polling places in Frederick County are The Prospect Center at 585 Himes Avenue; the Middletown Volunteer Fire Department Activities Building at 1 Fireman’s Lane; the Urbana Regional Library, 9020 Amuelung Street; , and the Thurmont Regional Library at 76 East Moser Road.

Election officials also remind voters that Friday, May 10th is the last day to request a mail-in ballot through e-mail Ballots sent through the US Postal Service must be postmarked by Tuesday, May 14th in order to be counted. Residents who received their ballots through the mail can also place them in a drop box.

Primary Election Day is Tuesday, May 14th.  Polls will be open from 7:00 AM until 8:00 PM on that day.

Residents who want to vote but are not registered can sign up on election day at their local polling place, and vote that same day.
