Suspect In Frederick County Homicide Being Held Without Bond

He had a hearing in District Court on Wednesday.

Frederick, Md ((KM) The second suspect in a  homicide in Frederick County earlier this year was in District Court on Wednesday.  The State’s Attorney’s Office says Alonzo Michael Epps, 23 was ordered held without bond.

He is charged with 1st-degree murder, conspiracy to commit 1st-degree murder, kidnapping and carjacking.   Epps was indicted for those charges  by the Frederick County Grand Jury on May 2nd, according to the State’s Attorney’s Office.

Epps was arrested on Tuesday for the January, 2024 murder of  Brice Wendell Boots, 65,  of Pikesville. His body was found inside of a vehicle parked in a field in the 8200 block of Crum Road in Walkersville.

A co-defendant, Keon Wilson-Hawkins, 20, was arrested in March for Boots’ slaying.
