Sugarloaf Parkway to be paved; Lynn Burke, Weller Roads closed for pipe replacement.
FREDERICK, Md – Two road improvements projects will impact drivers during the week of July 7. Frederick County’s Division of Public Works warns motorists to expect delays along Sugarloaf Parkway during evening and overnight hours for paving operations.
DPW also asks motorists to follow detours around Lynn Burke Road and Weller Road during daytime hours for pipe replacements.
Sugarloaf Parkway
C. J. Miller will pave Sugarloaf Parkway between Maryland Route 80 and John Simmons Street from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., starting Sunday, July 7.
Crews will work each evening, weather permitting, until the stretch of road is completely paved. Sugarloaf Parkway has two lanes in each direction. One lane will be open to traffic during construction. No major delays are anticipated.
Work is expected to be finished by 5 a.m. Friday, July 12.

Lynn Burke and Weller Roads
Frederick County Highways will close sections of Lynn Burke Road and Weller Road to replace pipes. Roadwork will take place four days a week, starting Monday, July 8.
Only one road will be closed at a time. Crews will work on Weller Road before moving to Lynn Burke Road.
The work is expected to be done by Thursday, Aug. 8.
Construction will affect:
Weller Road – from Lynn Burke Road to 12014 Weller Road
Lynn Burke Road – from Weller Road to 4533 Lynn Burke Road
