They were sleeping when they were assaulted.
Gaithersburg, Md (KM) Six suspects who assaulted four homeless people in Silver Spring earlier in July are being sought by Montgomery County Police. Authorities say the incident occurred in the 800 block of Ellsworth Drive near Fenton Street.
At around 4:43 AM on Tuesday, July 16th, a dark colored Honda Civic pulled up where the four homeless individuals were sleeping. A homeless woman sleeping on a table was punched in the face. When she grabbed her phone to call police, another suspect grabbed it and broke it. Two homeless men sleeping on a bench were assaulted while they slept. . A third homeless man was chased by the suspects along Ellsworth Drive to Georgia Avenue.
Two victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Police have come up with descriptions of the suspects. One of the suspects is a Black male, wearing a black ski mask, grey shirt, jeans, white and grey sneakers. A second male suspect is also Black, with short locs, wearing a grey shirt with white writing,, black pants and black shoes.. Suspect number three is also a Black male, wearing a black hat, white tee-shirt, black pans, light colored shoes and a black crossbody bag. The fourth suspect is a Black male, wearing a black tank top, black pants, and black and yellow sneakers. Suspect number five is a also a Black male, wearing all black clothing. The sixth suspect is a Black female, wearing a black short sleeve tee-shirt, black pants and white shoes.
