Vehicle Crash On I-70 In Washington County Tuesday Sends Four To Area Hospitals

Md. State Police are investigating.

Big Pool, Md (KM) Four people were taken to area hospitals following a one-vehicle crash in Washington County Tuesday morning.

State Police say a Mazda driven by Yelson Aguilar, 19, of Baltimore was traveling eastbound on Interstate 70 in the Big Pool area when for unknown reasons, the vehicle went off the roadway, and overturned in the median.

A passenger in the Mazda, along with two, six-year-old children, were flown to Medstar Washington Hospital Center and Children’s National Medical Center in Washington DC by State Police helicopters Trooper Three and Trooper Five.   Aquilar was transported by ambulance to Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown for Treatment of his injuries.

Troopers say I-70 in that area of Washington County was closed for  more than  an hour while the State Police CRASH Team conducted its investigation.
