Hagerstown, Md (KM) The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says the cause of a structure fire in Washington County Monday afternoon was accidental.
At around 4:45 PM, fire fighters were dispatched to 10906 Rosewood Drive in Hagerstown for a garage fire. They spent five minutes bringing the flames under control. There were no injuries.
Investigators say the fire originated in the rear of the garage. An individual started a controlled burn, and left it unattended. The fire spread to the exterior of the garage. A neighbor discovered the fire.
