State Police say he weas arrested for attempting to abduct a girl in Frederick County.

Frederick, Md (KM) A Walkersville man has been charged with an attempted child abduction. Gary Lee Plummer, 55, was arrested on Wednesday following a traffic stop.
State Police say at around 3:00 PM, a trooper from the Frederick barrack pulled over a red Ford Taurus in the 8700 block of Woodsboro Pike. The trooper observed signs of impairment on the part of the driver identified as Plummer. He was charged with driving under the influence.
After that, State Police say they received a report from two girls that Plummer tried to accost them while they were walking in the area near the traffic stop. They also said Plummer tried to pull one of the girls into his car, but was unsuccessful.
Troopers say after consultation with the Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office, Plummer was also charged with attempted kidnapping, attempted abduction and 2nd-degree assault. He’s currently being held at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center without bond.
