Rockville, Md (KM) A Rockville man was arrested last week following a road rage incident on Interstate 270 in Montgomery County where a firearm was involved. Joshua Johnson, 43, is charged with 1st-degree assault, 2nd-degree assault, and using a firearm in a felony crime. He’s currently behind bars at the Montgomery County Detention Center without bond.
State Police say on Thursday, May 15th, a motorist called the Rockville Barrack and reported a road rage incident on I-270 near Montrose Road. The victim said the driver of a black Hyundai Santa Fe pointed a handgun at them. The victim was not hurt.
The Maryland State Police HIghway Gun Crimes Initiative took over the investigation, and was able to identify the suspect as Johnson. Troopers obtained a search warrant on Johnson’s vehicle, and confiscated a loaded handgun from the driver’s seat.
