Theft At High’s In New Market Under Investigation

The suspects stole a large number of cigarette cartons.New Market, Md (KM) A theft at a High’s store in New Market early Friday morning remains under investigation.At around 2:15 AM, the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were dispatched to the store at  11780 Old National Pike. They were told that three men described as African-Americans wearing ski masks and gloves entered the store, and told the employees to get away from the counter. One suspect grabbed an employee by the shirt, and moved that individual aside.The three men then loaded cartons of cigarettes from the counter into plastic trash bags.  An estimated $7,700 worth of cartons were taken before the suspects fled.Anyone who has information on this incident is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office.
