Deputies recover over 13 ounces of suspected cocaine from the vehicle.
FREDERICK, MD – On Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at approximately 8:33 p.m., a Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) deputy conducted a traffic stop on Route 340 westbound near Route 180 for an equipment violation.
During the stop, the deputy developed suspicions of possible drug activity and requested assistance from an FCSO K9 unit. The K9 unit responded and conducted a scan of the vehicle, which resulted in a positive alert for the presence of narcotics.
Deputies then searched the vehicle and recovered approximately 385 grams (13.58 ounces) of suspected cocaine, which was packaged in multiple bags.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, identified as Donta Shawn Allen, 25, of Baltimore, MD, was arrested and transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
Allen has been charged with the following:
- CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute – Cocaine (Felony)
- CDS Possession Not Cannabis – Cocaine (Misdemeanor)
- CDS Possession of Paraphernalia
Allen is currently being held without bond at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
