Accident In Carroll County Kills Man

The fatal accident happened on Route 97 and Humbert Schoolhouse RoadFrederick, MD (DG) – Maryland State Police are investigating an accident that claimed the life of a man early Saturday morning in Carroll County.According to police, troopers responded shortly after 2 AM to Route 97 in the area of Humbert Schoolhouse Road for an accident. Investigators report a GMC Canyon was traveling north on Route 97 when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed the centerline and struck a Ford van.The driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.The driver of the GMC Canyon, 36 year-old Christopher Wolfe, was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.The cause of the crash continues to be investigated. Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
