Mount Airy, Md (KM) The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a fatal, two-vehicle crash in Mount Airy Thursday evening.
At around 6:16 PM, , deputies were dispatched to the area of West Ridgeville Boulevard and the Mount Airy Village Shopping Center to assist Mount Airy Police in investigating the crash. Authorities say a Honda motorcycle operated by Nicholas Main, 43, of Mount Airy, traveling westbound and a Volkswagen Jetta heading eastbound collided with each other as the driver of the Jetta was attempting to make a left turn.
Main was pronounced dead at the scene. The operator of the Jetta remained at the scene along with several witnesses.
The Sheriff’s Office took over the investigation into this fatal crash.
