He is undergoing treatment to prevent possible rabies infection.

Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick County Health Department says the man who dropped off a raccoon last week at the CARE Veterinary Center at 1040 West Patrick Street in Frederick has been located, and is undergoing treatment to prevent possible rabies infection.
The raccoon was found along a road near Thurmont, and tested positive for rabies.
The Health Department says raccoons with the rabies virus are not uncommon in Frederick County. So far this year, the County has had 28 cases or rabies in animals; 14 of which were raccoons.
Anyone who sees an animal acting strange is urged to contact Frederick County Animal Control at 301-600-1544, or the Maryland Department of Natural Resources at 1-877-463-6497 rather than trying to care for the animal on their own.
If you have been exposed to an animal confirmed to have rabies, the Health Department says contact Community Health Services at 301-600-3342.
For general information about rabies, call the Environmental Health Services at 301-600-1717, or go on line to Health.FrederickCountyMD.gov/rabies.
